Mon, 18 December 2006 This is the video where PayPerPost moves into their new office. Hopefully they will have internet on time. It is kinda hard to have an internet company without the internet! Then there's the whole thing with workers using $700 chairs as foot stools! You heard me right a $700 chair! And they are standing on it with work boots! Yikes! Not something that I would be doing! Anyways, you'll notice that 30 seconds into the video, that they are using Mac computers!!! Go Apple! Also, at 39 seconds in, you'll see a distinct Apple Logo on Ted's laptop on the far left hand side of the screen. I like these guys already! Anywho, the video is about 9:30 long, it's actually a little less than that, but what's 2 seconds... If you too would like to make money using blog ads, then you need to visit PayPerPost! Fri, 8 December 2006 For those of you who ACTUALLY use my 'Dock' of links at the top, should see a CONSIDERABLE boost in response time. Well, at least in Firefox and Opera. Firefox and Opera both use cached images when possible, IE6 however, apparently doesn't. Besides, you aren't using IE6 anymore...IE7 has been released and EVERYBODY knows that Firefox 2 is the GREATEST internet browser in THE WORLD! So, if you haven't switched from IE6 to AT LEAST IE7, you should (where applicable...I know some businesses can't.) Category: general -- posted at: 9:15 PM Comments[0]

Mon, 13 November 2006 It seems that the man behind the Bestest Blog of All Time had been having some computer troubles, but is slowly coming back to us. It (appears) that the LCD on his laptop got messed up and wouldn't display anything, but he is getting a replacement (Desktop, not notebook). Which, if good news, I think he was out for about a week. I read his blog ALMOST everyday. There are times when I get too busy or just plain lazy and don't read it, but I try to get to it at least once everyday. If nothing else, just to see other people's blogs. Category: general -- posted at: 5:00 PM Comments[0]
Sat, 11 November 2006 In case you hadn't already heard, Apple's MacBook Pro is in the running for Time's Gadget of the Year. It is going head to head with the Nintendo DS Lite. If you wish to vote and view the other gadgets in the running, like the Nike + iPod Sport Kit, click here. I personally voted for the MacBook Pro. Thu, 9 November 2006 I was browsing the internet (yes, again!) and found this need video that compares Windows XP sounds to Windows Vista sounds. It is a pretty interesting video. I (personally) like some of the XP sounds better! Some of the sounds they chose for Vista, I don't know if the average person is going to hear and understand what the noise was for. Seems to me like they made them softer (for better or for worse?). Well, if they allow customization of those sounds like they do in XP, I will keep my current sound scheme! I use the clip from Disney's Aladdin Movie: Who disturbs my slumber? for when my computer turns on. And I have the Terminator's: Hasta la vista baby! for when my computer is shutting down. Freaks out some of my friends who aren't as computer savvy. The first time I had a friend of mine turn my computer on, he nearly jumped to the ceiling! I wish I could upload some of my memories to my computer. If only I had a USB port on the back of my head...maybe some day... Category: general -- posted at: 10:00 PM Comments[0]

Mon, 23 October 2006 The iFizzle is still down, but with more information. Now, instead of just saying that it is closed until further notice, he states: 'Sorry, due to reasons beyond my control, the iFizzle is closed until further notice.' Also, he is offering to refund any donation money. So, hopefully he has it up and running again soon. But for now, I think I will trust that he is being honest with his public. I, for one, have donated and at this point will not retract my donation at this time. This is all the news that I have for the iFizzle at this point. If you like what you see, please feel free to post comments here. Also, some of those images were taken right here where I am from: Montana. So, this video also demonstrates a part of Montana history. I chose to use the old gold miners and gold mining way of life to demonstrate how easy us Americans have it today with our cars, computers and other modern machinery. But can you imagine life without those now? Could you survive without being able to play World of Warcraft, check your e-mail or read up-to-date news? These people not only survived, but got us to where we are today. So, withour futher ado, may I present My Commercial: Category: general -- posted at: 6:10 PM Comments[0]
Fri, 20 October 2006 It seems that the man behind the iFizzle, has now closed his website. (Click the File Vault icon to see what I mean...) This means one of several things. 1. He took the money and ran. 2. His service provider stopped him because of too much bandwidth usage. 3. Adding new features. (Hopefully a downloads page!) Stay tuned for further updates. Mon, 2 October 2006 I am announcing another contest. Yes. Get your imagination churning and your creativity burning, because the winner will receive an iTunes Gift Certificate of $10. What do I want? Allow me to explain. Soon, I will be releasing a Subscription-only based service and I will need 3 buttons. One button to replace my 'Donate' button, one for my 'Subscribe' button and one for my Unsubscribe.
That is what I am looking for. Let me explain more on the rules. In order to win, both images must be a 'pair.' Meaning, they match. Same kind of design with like colors, just one saying to Donate, and the other to say Subscribe. Similar to Criteria: 1) Images must be larger than 75x75 pixels. 2) Images must be same dimensions (like 100x100 but not 100x162) 3) Images must contain color (other than just Black, White, & Gray) 4) Images must NOT be offensive 5) Preferred image types (in order):PNG, BMP, JPG, and GIF. Though not limited to these. 6) Be Creative! I am not looking for Da Vinci work here. I just don't have Photoshop and I have zero experience using it. (Well, maybe not zero, I can crop and resize..and import...and save...you get the idea) Submit entries beginning now until Nov 1st, 2006. E-Mail entries to iswitch2mac@gmail.com. You can make the buttons as separate files or as a single file. Only 2 entries per person. If you have any further questions, or would like me to clarify anything, please e-mail me at iswitch2mac@gmail.com. Category: general -- posted at: 6:00 AM Comments[0]
Sat, 16 September 2006 Well, it has been nearly 4 months since I have started this podcast/blog majigger. And it seems that people are not understanding why I opened this in the first place. I initially opened this page to raise donations to buy an Apple computer and make the switch. However, donations have been few and far between and the podcast hasn't even reached 5000 people. 5000. Considering all the people in US, and then all over the world, that is NOT very many. If everyone of those 5000 people, donate $.50 then I have achieved my goal. (That doesn't give me $2500, because of the PayPal fees) However, of those that watch and read my posts, only 2 people donated. I thank those that have donated. I wish I could do more for those people. I really do. I am an honest person, who is trying their hardest to get through in life and make something of myself. Yes, all that CAN be done without an Apple. But it would make my life easier. I am not sure how else to reach more people. I have submitted to just about every podcast directory on the planet. I have asked the viewers to tell their friends. I have even been working myself, literally to the point of near nervous breakdown, to save money. I save where I can. Spend only what is needed. And hope for the best. I have tried to encourage donations, by holding contests, posting video, audio and pictures of myself. And yet, still nothing. I am unsure of myself right now. I am very busy with my current schedule of classes and work. I am a person very sought after. To end this post, I will write you a poem. I am unsure and growing tired. I worry that my performance might get me fired. I am unsure and hope to succeed. I want an Apple, I do plead. I am uncertain and I am lost. Direction has left me, at a great cost. I am unsure whether to press on. Until next time, I say so long. Category: general -- posted at: 9:31 PM Comments[0]

Thu, 24 August 2006 For those who don't own an Xbox or Halo 2, there is a great alternative. And better yet, it's absolutely free! And it is web-based. AND it sports various weapons! What is it? Check it out here! Sniping is not a good idea though, as the action is fast-paced and doesn't give much time to do so. Warning to Dial-up users though. Category: general -- posted at: 5:04 PM Comments[1]
Sun, 20 August 2006 By now, most everybody has probably seen the WWDC '06 Keynote. If not, then click here and watch it. It is streaming video, so dial-up users beware! Such topics were covered like Time Machine, Leopard, and iChat updates. Well, I am personally interested in the 'other' things they didn't (or couldn't) show us! Time Machine definitely looks fantastic. Leopard seems pretty awesome in itself. But what is it that wasn't shown? That is what this post is about. In my opinion, it COULD be a new iPod with Bluetooth connectivity. This has been rumored all over. But so what right? Well, what if your user settings were saved, and anytime that iPod got near another Mac, your settings would be 'copied' over onto the Mac. Things like bookmarks, stickies, and other user preferences. But think about the price drop on the Cinema Displays. Kinda odd that Apple recently filed patents on Touch Screen technology. Why not try to sell out of stock on the displays, then awe the public with new Cinema Displays with Touch Screen Technology and a built in iSight and infared port for the Apple Remote? Sounds good and plausible to me. Also rumored, is an update to the iPods. A true 'video iPod' is rumored. But, how would they update it? Bigger screen. Ok, where's the click wheel going? Longer playback time. Ok, bigger battery and therefore heavier device. All these things are possible, and only what I think could happen. Assuming they ('they' being Apple) make the screen bigger. Fantastic. But what about the videos we ALREADY have? Will they look good in 'widescreen' format? Will they even work? And since the Click Wheel is gone, that must mean a Touch Screen is there. Sure. What about fingerprints, scratches, and battery life then? And cases? This finishes part one of 'In My Opinion.' Category: general -- posted at: 9:43 PM Comments[1]

Sun, 13 August 2006 I have changed the links that the Menubar at the top directs to. The Internet Explorer Icon now directs to ifizzle.com and the Blogger Icon now directs to the bestestblogofalltime. Also, if you want your webpages icon added, please let me know. I have 500 pixels (from left to right) to add. I figure 10 takes about half, so I can fit about 9 more Icons to it. First come, first serve basis. However, I might work something out, where donators get precedence over others. That is my news for now. I will be releasing another video here shortly. iSwitch2Mac Category: general -- posted at: 11:16 PM Comments[0]
Sat, 12 August 2006 Today I have received another entry for my OiL Contest! That makes a total of 4 people entering! YEA! It's still not too late to send those in. I am hoping to reach at least 5 people entering by the 14th, but we shall see. College is less than 2 weeks away. I am looking forward to going back and seeing all my friends again. Seems 4 months is too long...but we did manage to stay in touch via email and the occasional phone call. Also, I have received a total of over 3000 requests, but only about 1500 uniques. So, approximately, half of the people who download my content return to download more. Which is good, but I think I could do better. I think that I will release a different video next. I won't stop the Red vs Blue, I will only take a break from it. Hopefully get some returning downloaders. Also, this site WILL NOT CLOSE when I receive my Mac. I do promise that. When (and IF) I ever finally manage to get one, I can then post MORE videos of myself with the built in iSight camera. Also, I am not too worried about donations as of yet. I want to wait and hold out until 'Leopard' is released. Also, I predict that Apple with change the processors in the iMac. With some hope (and a little time and luck) I think that they will, but probably not until some time next year. So, for those of you who want to donate, please feel free. I am only asking for $1, but you can donate as much as you want. Also, how would you feel if I put in a 'Subscribe' option? Similar to how Roosterteeth has theirs. Those that subscribe, receive content earlier and in Hi-Resolution. Please let me know if you might be interested in something similar to this. Until next time. iSwitch2Mac Category: general -- posted at: 11:41 PM Comments[0]
Wed, 2 August 2006 Today I received a nice donation from MacGeek of $17.17! I do thank you for the donation. I REALLY thank you for the donation! So, MacGeek, if I finally reach my goal, you've got a head start on that prize. Also, don't forget that from Aug 1st to Aug 14th, I will be accepting submissions for my 'Official iSwitch2Mac Logo'. I have only received 3 submissions from ONLY ONE PERSON. You can begin submitting those anytime. Even if you think it looks bad, at least then I just won't be handing a $20 iTunes Music Card to the only guy brave enough to submit. Again, I thank you for your support! Wed, 12 July 2006 Why am I choosing Mac and Apple over other computers? Well, as I have previously posted, I am just tired...no...bored would be the better word I think. Don't get me wrong, Windows is a very functioanl OS, I mean, just look at all the games and software that can be bought for it, then compare that to any other... So why would I give that up for Mac? I want something that not only 'serves its purpose,' but looks good doing it. Compare Apple hardware to any other, and you will see what I mean. When it comes down to it, Apple has the most ingenious designs. But not just their hardware, their software too. Where else can I find a suite like iLife '06 that comes with the computer...free? You'll look...and will discover...that there isn't one. Just like the ads that Apple uses, Macs are geared towards people who have lives, not just jobs. Like, iPhoto for instance. Quite a few people use digital photography these days. I am one of those people. But if I want a photo edited, I have to use third party software to do so. (Or use the much needed of an update software Paint) Not on a Mac. Now take iTunes. Yes...it works on PC too. But it, like all the other Apps in the iLife Suite, it is integrated throughout. Windows Movie Maker and Window Media Player...not. Maybe this will change with Vista...doubt it. Take iWeb for another example. What program do we use on Windows that's FREE and comes WITH the computer? Notepad. Let's compare Notepad to iWeb. Hmm, no comparison really. Point, click, publish done. OR, code, view, troubleshoot, change code, view, find webhost, upload. Windows is a functional, to the point, good for everyday use, Operating System. But when it comes down to what people are actually needing a computer for, they fall short. Apple meets the needs of the consumer, not the business. Windows XP Home vs Windows XP Pro...visually look VERY identical. Only real difference? Pro is designed for better networking and file sharing and...basically networking. Tell me I am wrong. But, that is the only difference that I have come across. That is why I have chosen Apple over: Dell, Gateway, Alienware, Sony, Compaq, Acer, and any other brand name computer you can think of. Apple has created the (almost) perfect computer. It is just too bad that it costs so much to get one...

Tue, 11 July 2006 This is one of a series of Family Guy clips that I am going to be posting. This clip here is entitle, "The Facts of Life." Well, you'll definitely learn some facts of life if you are new to the whole "gender difference" thing... I still haven't received a donation as of yet. Nor a single comment, e-mail, or any other form of communication. I have been receiving hits, but no one seems to want themselves be known. Please, please, please! leave a comment or e-mail me if you like what you see. I would like to know what my viewers think of the videos that I am posting. Any sort of feedback would be greatly appreciated. Anyways, enjoy the first of several Family Guy clips. Video is iPod-Ready. [0:27] Comments[1]
Mon, 10 July 2006 Well, video editing is taking longer than expected. So, I figured I'd better release some kind of video. Hopefully I will have the one I am working on done shortly. I didn't expect me to take that long, but it will get there eventually. Anyways, here is an ad for Firefox. Which, by the way, is THE best browser ever (IMHO)! This ad features IE, Safari, Netscape, and (obviously) Firefox. Positively side-splitting. Definitely a must see. I hope to receive a donation soon. I might do a special prize for the first donator. Don't know yet. But I will continue to plug away at this podcast and hope that it gets out there. Video is iPod-Ready. [0:30] Comments[0]
Mon, 10 July 2006 Well, it has been over a week now, and I still haven't had a donation. I figured it must be because people don't know me. Well, I hope that this at least gives you some idea of who I am. First let me start off by saying that this podcast, this call for donations, this...blog, is indeed not a scam. I am, in fact, 19 years old attending Montana State University - Northern. It is a small campus (as compared to other colleges and universities around the globe) with I'd guess maybe 800 students. I am majoring in Computer Information Systems, which is a four-year program, that covers basically everything about computers. Networking, hardware, software, programming, troubleshooting, and the list goes on. When I return this August, I will be considered a Sophomore. I currently have 30 credits under my belt and have signed up for 15 (Fall Semester) more. Full-time status is anything over 12 credits. Now, considering that I am taking 15 credits (which is 5 classes for 3 credits each) and working as much as possible at the campus library. During the time that I am not in school, like right now, I live at home with my parents and my sister (who is also going to school). However, just because I am home, doesn't mean that I get to lounge around all summer. No, indeed I am working 40 hours a week at a nearby grocery store, trying to save as much money as possible. Just to lose...about 80-90% of it when payment for Fall Semester comes to pass. Granted, I love school, but when I've worked for 4 months and lose nearly all of it in two payments (tution, housing, food takes one and books take the other) that seems pretty depressing. So, I have stated, saving money for a Mac, will take quite a long time to accomplish. That is why I have asked for people like you, to donate. I am not asking for a handout, but rather a handup. One dollar. That is all that is required to enter your name into the drawing of the iPod Nano. It is just like the lottery, all it takes is just one ticket. To win the prize, all it takes is just one name. But the that you donate, the more chances you get to increase the odds of winning. I hope that this helps explain myself a little better and look forward to more podcasting. Category: general -- posted at: 12:01 AM Comments[0]
Sun, 9 July 2006 This is the 'page' you will see, should you happen to cancel the donation process. I hope that you will change your mind in the future and donate. Remember, donating gives an oppurtunity to win free prizes like: an iPod Nano or an iTunes Music Certificate. If you canceled because you do not wish to use PayPal, then please e-mail with suggestions of ways other than PayPal. As of right now, this is the only way I know of receiving donations. If you know of any others, please contact me with your ideas. Thank you for your interest in iSwitch2Mac. Category: general -- posted at: 12:35 AM Comments[0]
Sat, 8 July 2006 This particular video features Bill Gates, and another man from Microsoft, demonstrating Windows 95. However, they encounter a problem...it crashes! Not only that...they get the infamous Blue Screen of Death! Major oops, I'd say. But...moving right along...Bill Gates tries to cover by saying that this must be why they ain't shippin' Windows 98 yet... I am still looking for a first donation. So please, if you enjoy these videos, please support my effort to make the transition from Windows to Macintosh. Also, my next video is quite special. Why? Because I make my first appearance...well...hopefully. I am looking for free software that can work with .mov files, as that is what my digital camera records in. Any ideas, comments, etc? Email or leave comments please. Any input is appreciated. Video is iPod-Ready. [0:29] Comments[0]
Thu, 6 July 2006 This particular video I discovered completely by chance. When Google Video was in its first stages on existence on the 'net, it was one the 'random' videos that happened to be listed. I watched it. I literally had to watch it multiple times because it was so hysterical! Oh man. All I kept thinking was...it's not delivery, it's...antelope! I know that anyone who watches this video will at least get a smile! If ever you are feeling down, watch this video. Your day could never be as bad this guy's day! I still have no idea if this was a commercial, actual footage, or what...but it is FUNNY! As always, the video is iPod-Ready. [0:21] Comments[0]
Thu, 6 July 2006 Now here we are. Seven episodes in, and not many viewers...Well. Persistance pays. I am having fun doing this. But my storage quota gets filled rather quickly unfortunately. So, if I don't release a new video everyday in the future. Don't be discouraged. Anyways, this next video features the SpongeBob SquarePants "F.U.N." song. Only...it isn't SpongeBob and Plankton. Rather, its a Yellow Spartan and a green Convenant from the hit Xbox game, Halo 2. I LOVE playing Halo 2. At college, we would max out the multiplayer...16. I thought I was good, then I played multiplayer...man...was I EVER wrong. Talk about spawn kills...sheesh! Anywho, enjoy the short video. As always, NONE of these videos (to date as of 07/06/06) are mine. They were all created by...well...whomever the video says that made them. I just merely have discovered these, and decided to release them as a VidCast. Video is iPod-Ready. [2:34] Comments[0]
Wed, 5 July 2006 As promised, the PANICS Outtakes Reel. Full...On...Funny! "Hey...your clavichol is showing!" This has to be one the funniest Outtakes Reel EVER. Please leave comments! I would LOVE to hear what my viewers have to say about this one! PS. This is the last of the PANICS series...sadly...*frowny face* Video is iPod-Ready. [2:50] Comments[0]
Tue, 4 July 2006 Well, this is the 'Season Finale' of PANICS. Can you guess who makes it out alive? I'll give you a hint, it is not Bravo One nor is it Bravo Leader... This, like all the others, is very funny indeed. But you have to watch the whole episode, so as not to miss any good lines near the end. The next video I release will be the Outtakes Reel. Scenes that didn't make it in the shows. They are absolutely side-splitting! Your innards will spill on your computer center with so much laughter. Anyways, please post comments if you like what you see. Please provide me feedback via e-mail or comments. It is always appreciated. E-mail me at iswitch2mac@gmail.com or post comments on this site. Mon, 3 July 2006 This post is merely about donations. Who, what, where, when, why...that kind of stuff. So let me start with the who. Who - Me. Adam. Of Montana. 19. Windows user since...well, whenever Windows first came out...and even back in the days of 5 inch floppies on the ole Apple IIe's. What - I am trying to save up enough money to buy an iMac. This computer will be my current computers replacement. It will also be the last computer I buy for QUITE awhile. Click here to see what I am trying to achieve. Where - Well, clicking on the Donate button takes you to PayPal. I live in Montana. I guess this is the 'internet.' That about covers where... When - This is a tricky one to answer. When will I buy the iMac? When I have all neccessary funds. When will winners of the contest be notified? Before I buy the iMac. That way I can buy the iPod Nano WITH the iMac. Also, if the winner wants an inscription, then this will be done as well. Why - The best question anyone can ask. First, I want to get away from Windows. Plain and simple. Don't get me wrong, XP is functional (most of the time), it is an improvement over my last computer (Windows ME (Mistake Edition)), but I am tired of Windows. Second, I LOVE MAC! My college has a room, just for Macs. I use it (occasionally...when there isn't a class being taught in there at the time) and have grown to just appreciate how much work went into the design from the ground up. Now, an important part of the 'why' section. Is the question, why an iMac? Why not a Mac Mini or a MacBook? Well, I can rule out a MacBook, as I stated previously, it will have to last me QUITE some time. Notebooks are not meant for heavy, continuous use. Right now, I am typing on a Toshiba notebook, and it's great and all, but it doesn't have the computing power I need. I am taking Computer Information Systems (basically, this degree covers everything you need to know about computers: networking, hardware, software, etc). And with this, we use programs that this laptop can't handle. Hence, the desktop. Why not a Mac Mini then you ask? Well, 1.66 GHz CPU, or a 2 GHz (iMac)...hmm. Which will still be considered GOOD in say...2-4 years? Not to mention, that I don't own any of the hardware that I would need to use it. That is why I need the consumer based desktop from Apple, the iMac. Category: general -- posted at: 10:50 PM Comments[0]
Sun, 2 July 2006 The saga continues for Bravo Team. My favorite line from this episode: Hey, where'd all your meat go? I just die laughing everytime I hear that. I hope you enjoy these episodes as much as I do. Roosterteeth did a fantastic job creating this series. However, and unfortunately, there are not many more episodes. After this series is complete, I will take a short break from Roosterteeth productions and mix it up with other hilarious shorts that I believe you will enjoy. Video is iPod-Ready. Sat, 1 July 2006 Bravo One is in dire need of assistance and the entire Bravo Team makes no effort to aid him. [Bravo One screams in agony.] ...I guess we should assume he's okay. Nice team they got going. Again, this episode, like all previous episodes is absolutely hilarious. Video is iPod-Ready. Comments[0]
Fri, 30 June 2006 This is Bravo Team's first mission with Frank. Everything starts out okay, but the situation changes, and trouble ensues.
